I'm a London-based filmmaker who's currently writing original feature & television scripts while working as a freelance director. I'm drawn to bold, character-driven, genre-blending stories with a twist or two.
TOUCHPAPER, my first short film, was a conspiracy thriller that played at numerous festivals in the UK & Ireland. I have two new shorts: TONY BEAR is a comedy horror & WILDBIRD is a dramatic monologue performed by Alice Orr-Ewing that's part of a feature story which is currently in development.
I studied film & English at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. I then moved to London where I freelanced on a variety of tv shows before working for director Susanna White whom I assisted during post-production on NANNY McPHEE & THE BIG BANG & throughout the production of the HBO/BBC mini-series PARADE'S END.
I then met director James Marsh and I worked as his assistant on three feature films: THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, THE MERCY & KING OF THIEVES, on which I was also the second unit director.
I recently
directed the second unit on EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE, the musical feature film based on the stage show, & THE ESSEX SERPENT for Apple TV+.
